Aaron Payment's legacy of destruction is hitting homes and families from across all Units. On Thursday of last week a reported 65 people were laid off from their jobs some had over 20 years of working for the Tribe.

On top of the layoffs the Sault Tribe lost a court case on Friday adding as much a $200,000 to the current deficit. The Tribe lost it's case because of one reason or rather one person, Aaron Payment.

Today's actions by the current Chief and Board is direct effect of Aaron Payment's failure as Chief Executive Officer of Sault Tribe. His policy of following a personal vindictive agenda and ignoring his duties as CEO is direct cause of what is happening to Tribal Members today.

The continued deterioration of our very identity is being eroded from this tribe at such a rate it's sickening!

At the Tribal Board workshop on June, 22, 2008 the conversation committee chairman brought up issues involving permits for Tribal Members to hunt bear.  A treaty allows Sault Tribe 800 bear hunting permits to Tribal Members.  Under the rules these permits allow for all firearms, hunting dogs and is unclear of use of commonly illegal bear traps.

You know how people hunt bear?  They let lose a pack of dogs that scare a bear up a tree then the hunter walks along and shoots it out of the tree.  Sounds real "sporty",  don't it?
